Bible Studies and Groups

Sunday School

As part of our catechism program, the children ages 3-12 meet Sundays after the morning worship service for 20 minutes to study Bible lessons and early doctrinal studies

Catechism

The second part of our catechism program has a greater focus on the doctrinal standards of our reformed faith.  The program is divided into three classes by the following grades:

Grade 8-9: Studying the Heidelberg Catechism

Grade 10: Studying the Belgic Confession of Faith

Grade 11-12: Studying the Canons of Dordt and an overview of Church History in a two year rotation.

Catechism classes are held 7-8pm every Tuesday night from September till April with breaks for Christmas, midterm exams, and March Break.


Cadets

A program for boys aged 9-13 organized in two parts: a Bible study for pre-teen and teen boys; and development of life skills such as power tool safety, woodworking and other crafts, wilderness camping, etc..

Kingdom Seekers

A program for girls aged 9-13 organized in two parts: a Bible study for pre-teen and teen girls; and development of life skills such as crafts and baking.

Cadets and Kingdom Seekers meet 7:00-8:30pm on the first 3 Monday evening of each month from September till April.


Young Peoples

A Bible study group for young people in grade 9 and older.  Bible studies are held alternate Sundays between services and extra events and fun outings are planned throughout the year.  The Young Peoples also host a congregational breakfast on Family Day as a fundraiser for a local charity.


Young Adults/Couples

A group of young adults and young couples that meet for Bible study on alternate Tuesday evenings from September to April.


Congregational Bible Study

A Bible study open to everyone held at 7:30pm on the first and third Thursdays of the month from September to May.


Ladies Bible Study

A Bible study for all ladies held at 9:45am on alternate Tuesday mornings from September to June.  Nursery/childcare is available.


Office-Bearers Training

A time for encouragement and focussed study on doctrine and church polity is held at the beginning of each council meeting.  This is open to all men of the congregation.  Council meetings are normally held the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm.
